  • Original House Registration Certificate
  • Original Thai National ID Card
  • Original Divorce Certificate or Death Certificate of a former spouse, if applicable
  • Name or Surname Change Certificate, if applicable

For the Foreign National:

Certificate of Single Status (Affirmation of Freedom to Marry)

There are two methods for obtaining this document:

Option 1: Foreign National Residing in Their Home Country

The foreign national must obtain a Certificate of Single Status from the relevant government authority in their home country.

The certificate must then be authenticated by the Royal Thai Embassy in that country, translated into Thai, and legalized by the Department of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand.

Option 2: Foreign National Already Residing in Thailand

Foreign nationals residing in Thailand, particularly those holding long-term visas such as DTV, Retirement Visa, or Non-B Visa, may obtain a Certificate of Single Status from their respective embassy in Thailand.

The document must then be translated into Thai and legalized by the Department of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
